David Keller, MD, Receives St. Mary's Physician of the Year Award
ENID, OK - St. Mary’s orthopedic surgeon, David Keller, M.D., received the St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Physician of the Year Award during the annual medical staff meeting earlier this week. The annual award is given to a physician who is in active practice at the hospital and demonstrates a strong commitment to St. Mary’s principles in his or her practice area.
“We are fortunate to have a physician like Dr. Keller on our medical staff,” says St. Mary’s CEO Stan Tatum. “He is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon who asks thoughtful questions that frequently lead to changes which help improve the care to our patients. Through his leadership abilities as medical director of The Joint Replacement Institute and chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Dr. Keller has gained the respect of both his colleagues and nursing staff,” says Tatum. “We appreciate his commitment to this hospital and the community.”
The award selection committee is comprised of St. Mary’s physicians and healthcare professionals who review the nominations submitted by their peers, hospital employees and physician office staff. Selection criteria are based on the principles of: Service Excellence; Continuous Improvement in Measurable Ways; Economic Development; Ethical and Fair Treatment of All; Teamwork; Compassion and Innovation in Service Delivery.
Dr. Keller has been on St. Mary’s medical staff since 2004. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is Board Certified by American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
