Training in Basic Bleeding Control Techniques
Traumatic injuries from a fall, accident or act of violence can occur anytime, anywhere. Are you prepared to respond to an emergency where a person is bleeding and can die from blood loss within five minutes?
Attend this free course to learn how to respond quickly and stop blood loss. Attendees will learn the:
- Principles of responding during an active shooter event
- Progressive strategy for controlling a hemorrhage
- Fundamentals of wound packing and topical hemostatic dressings
- Rationale for early use of a tourniquet for life-threatening extremity bleeding
- Appropriate application of a tourniquet to the arm and leg
The course is appropriate for both the general public and healthcare providers.
